10 AEW Wrestlers Who Teamed With WWE Champions

Devastatingly torn apart by legal battles stemming from two infamous podcast interviews, Colt Cabana and former WWE Champion CM Punk's longstanding friendship appeared to evaporate in the years following their court battle with WWE.

Remarks made in Punk's scathing 2014 'Art Of Wrestling' two-parter dragged the pair into difficulties, but there was once a time where the Dark Order man and the 'Voice Of The Voiceless' were joined at the hip.

As members of the Second City Saints in Ring Of Honor, the Chicagoans teamed together across the North American independent circuit before WWE developmental deals inked in the mid-2000s took them both out of the picture.

Punk never returned - the 'Straight Edge Superstar' toiled in OVW and on WWE's version of ECW, but eventually became a crucial component on the main roster. Cabana's failure to penetrate that same field was always perplexing from the outside, making his recent AEW stint all the more gratifying.
