The two squared off on a number of occasions on the independent scene before Styles went to TNA full time, most notably in Ring of Honor. These matches were over a decade ago however, and a lot has changed for both men. Regardless of the event, whether it was a big pay-per-view or an episode of SmackDown, watching these two square off in a WWE ring would be a surreal moment for longtime fans of either.
