One of the many (MANY) jokes that's been made about Vince Russo is his propensity for booking "-on a pole" matches, wherein an object of necessity is suspended from a pole behind a turnbuckle, and whoever retrieves it first either wins the match or can use it at his discretion. Russo's predilection reached self-parody in the summer of 2000, when he ran roughshod over WCW with a series of insane and terrible ideas. Torrie Wilson turned her back on Billy Kidman to join forces with "The Franchise" Shane Douglas. Douglas and Wilson attempted to make a sex tape, but "The Franchise" was unable to perform. When Kidman aired the tape on Nitro, it caused an issue that could only be settled one way -- therefore, WCW Commissioner The Cat signed the first (and, thus far, only) Viagra on a Pole Match. Kidman and Douglas fought to retrieve the bottle (a big one with the word "VIAGRA" written on it), but it was Kidman who was successful. Still, Douglas managed to drop him with the Franchiser, then score the pin. "The Franchise" then shoved Kidman's face into the Viagra, which had spilled all over the ring. This led the randy Kidman to make some time with the Nitro Girls, whereupon he was confronted by one of their jealous boyfriends -- the debuting Reno. That, ladies and gentlemen, is how Vince Russo tells a story.
