5. Hulk Hogan's Sex Tape
Radio personality Bubba 'The Love Sponge' Clem leaked a sex tape involving WWE legend Hulk Hogan to the Gawker website in 2012.
The reverberations of this leaking were felt for the following few years, until the jury found Gawker Media liable and awarded Hogan $115 million in compensatory damages and $25 million in punitive damages. A few months later, Gawker reached a $31 million settlement with The Hulkster.
Back in 2006, with Hogan feeling the strains of his marriage to wife Linda, Bubba 'The Love Sponge' Clem gave his blessings to Hulk to sleep with his wife Heather. What the former WWF Champion didn't consent to was Bubba filming the action in the bedroom and sending it to a big website to put online.
Bubba testified that he burned the footage to DVD before Gawker editor AJ Daulerio published two minutes of it online on October 4, 2012.
