10. Staying In The Same Hotel As The NXT Roster
Finding an affordable hotel in Brooklyn within walking distance of the Barclays Arena wasn't easy, and after going back and forth on a few different ones, I settled on the Hotel Indigo. After popping out for something to eat on Friday evening, I was shocked to come back to find a small group of WWE fans outside with a large coach also parked up. Before I put two and two together, the entire NXT roster started spilling out of it! The majority of fans weren't that respectful unfortunately, with a large group surrounding a flustered looking Carmella a little later in the evening as she attempted to leave the hotel. Still, it was a fun experience to see everyone from Dana Brooke to Samoa Joe and Alexa Bliss making their way into the same place I was staying! After NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn on Saturday night, I was equally surprised to get back and see almost the entire NXT roster waiting to get into the elevators, with Cesaro and a masked Jushin Thunder Liger all patiently waiting in the lobby. As much as I would have loved to have approached them all for a photo, it seemed like an uncool thing to do after the majority of them had been working that night and likely wanted to get to their rooms to chill out. Just getting to see these larger than life Superstars and Divas up close was a treat as a fan though. Interestingly, it appears as if the bigger stars were put up in the slightly fancier Sheraton opposite, as I spotted Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and Eva Marie making their way out of there at various points.
