10 Amazing Signs Wrestling Is Entering A New Boom Period

2. Merch Is Flying Out The Door

Cody's latest batch of t-shirts are reportedly flying off shelves quicker than WWE can print them. Similarly, Sami Zayn's new shirt and pretty much every piece of Bloodline merchandise has apparently done very, very well in terms of numbers. People are proud to grab as much merch as possible.

Granted, wrestling's hardcore fanbase has always been one for merchandise. John Cena's tees became a license to print money, and the classic "Austin 3:16" design has been a firm favourite for decades. That'll continue to sell truckloads the more appearances Steve Austin makes in 2023 too.

Over in AEW, Chris Jericho has had success with t-shirts and quirky merch items like "a little bit of the bubbly". This moneymaking is all representative of dual products that fans want to show off their support for. Of course, the men and women designing this merchandise must take a bow too.

WWE and AEW currently offer some seriously-snappy items. They're a far cry from some gaudy shirts the WWF used to sell back in the mid-to-late-90s.

Like this horror.
