Speaking of workers who deserved way better.

Kurt Angle's retirement from active duty will forever be remembered as one of the worst ever. WWE showed a complete disregard for the Olympian's iconic career by bunging him in a last minute going-nowhere feud with Baron Corbin before 'Mania 35. Then, come bell time, Angle failed to score one last win against a mediocre foe.

Wrestlers bowing out with a loss isn't the problem. Wrestlers of Kurt's standing bowing out following a six-minute snore vs. an opponent fans didn't even want very much is. This was unnecessary public humiliation of someone who had given so much of himself physically and mentally to the company booking it, and it was so avoidable.

Angle could've gone out on his terms by working someone like AJ Styles or Samoa Joe. Both would've done a better job than Corbin, and both ended up in their own largely-forgettable scraps vs. Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio respectively anyway.

For shame, WWE.
