Admit it, you knew this would be number one.

Nobody can blame WWE for booking Bret Hart's revenge on Vince McMahon in the end. On paper, it was ultimate closure for 'Hitman' fans following 1997's screwjob. However, 'Mania XXVI came far too late to achieve anything in-ring. Bret couldn't bump, which turned the match into a one-sided kicking that almost made the live crowd sympathetic towards McMahon.

Bret had worked WrestleMania classics vs. Roddy Piper, his brother Owen, Shawn Michaels (although some people disagree with that one!) and Steve Austin. He was one hell of a workhorse in his day, but Hart wasn't the same dude by 2010. He stumbled around the ring pelting Vince with weak chair shots, then almost fell over when locking in his trademark Sharpshooter.

The grudge match defo needed to happen pre-2000 for Hart. 13 years on from his disgraceful public humiliation at Survivor Series '97, Bret willingly wandered into his own self-inflicted embarrassment. Looking back, it's even worse. This is one to avoid when sprinting through 'Mania cards before the latest version.
