When you realize that Eva Marie, Lana and even Snooki have all made their in-ring debuts at a WrestleMania, the lustre of that accolade is soon diminished. Despite this, Fandango holds the distinction of having one of the most high profile debut matches on the grandest stage of all, whilst also providing one of the biggest upsets in recent memory.

When the ballroom dancer first appeared on the scene in late 2012, many saw him as an overly cartoony waste of Johnny Curtis's considerable talents. Over the coming months, Fandango would sway on to the stage and refuse to take part in scheduled matches until his name was pronounced to his liking.

Chris Jericho purposely mispronounced Fandango's name during an episode of Raw thus setting up their WrestleMania showdown. Only in wrestling.

Complete with lavish entrance full of dancing girls and glamour, Fandango delivered a strong performance hindered only by the crowd's lack of investment in the character. Jericho played the role of veteran perfectly, and led the newcomer to a more than serviceable contest. With his help, Fandango was able to showcase his wrestling talents as well as his strong character work.

The result and occasion do bolster this match above its content - but both men deserve a lot of credit for getting the crowd gradually more engrossed in a match that had essentially nothing going for it originally.
