10 Amazing WWE World Title Wins (That Led To Lame Championship Runs)

9. Becky Lynch

There was nothing outright bad about The Man’s post-WrestleMania 35 title run. It was just never going to live up to the build, and the win. Becky Lynch was unbelievably over in 2019, and her march to the first ever ‘Mania headlined by women was played perfectly at every step (give or take the addition of Charlotte Flair and that weird police car bit).

Becky’s triumph was utterly inevitable but still an amazing moment, crowning her as the undisputed top draw in the company. From there, though, there were no more worlds to conquer.

Becky was thrown into a feud with Lacey Evans. The green Evans did everything she could to hang with Lynch, but she was never going to take either one of Becky’s two belts. Next it was Natalya, a great worker but obviously not the one to displace WWE’s newest top star.\

Angles with Sasha Banks and Asuka were better but burned through pretty quickly. Shayna Baszler seemed the logical woman to take Becky’s Raw championship off her, but in a strange, brief ‘Mania match, The Man retained, before giving up the belt due to pregnancy. Hopefully when she gets back, she’ll have some better built feuds to get stuck into.
