10 Annoying Ways WWE Ruined What We Once Loved

5. Falls Count Anywhere Matches - Hardly Any Falls Happening Outside The Ring

Another very popular gimmick stipulation, Falls Count Anywhere matches, or streetfights or whatever they are dubbed as depending on the show, used to be so much fun.

Wrestlers would brawl all the way across the arena and even beyond. The surroundings would be incorporated into the story of the match, with crazy spots like the golf kart chase during Raven-Kane-Big Show at WrestleMania 17, or Harper and Ambrose driving away from the arena during Extreme Rules 2015 or a host of others bringing fans to their feet.

These days they are basically just an extended version of a No DQ match, with an obligatory sequence where the wrestlers brawl outside the ring for a little bit before simply taking the action back to the squared circle.

More often than not, the deciding fall also happens within the ring; rendering the whole stipulation rather pointless.

After battling Galactus and pinning Hulk Hogan in the main event of Wrestlemania, I've taken a break from living in fantasy worlds, to focus on writing about them. I'm a comic book geek, a wrestling mark, a break dancer, and a scientist. One of those things may not be true.
