Although now known as Impact Wrestling, the original website for Total Nonstop Action (TNA) is still accessible, but it sure ain't pretty.

Impact Wrestling is enjoying somewhat of a creative resurgence, and it's safe to say they haven't taken any cues from TNA's in-house graphic design team. That's a good thing.

The TNA website's earliest capture features advertising for the promotion's 2005 No Surrender pay-per-view, headlined by Raven and Abyss in a Dog Collar match. Where have we seen that stipulation lately?

Outside the main event, AJ Styles, Sean Waltman, Samoa Joe, and Christopher Daniels all proved there was life beyond the pale of WWE. How's that for a stacked lineup?

While nostalgia can cloud one's judgment, it's inspiring to revisit TNA's defiance to Vince McMahon swallowing his competition. Sure, there were some close calls over the years, yet the fate of the promotion was never in Vinnie Mac's hands. We should all be grateful for that.

TNA's website also hosts the obligatory discussion forum and a link to download recent episodes of Impact. At least if 2005 is your idea of recent. It can't be confirmed if they work, so try them out at your own risk.

Just make sure your Norton antivirus software is locked and loaded.
