10 Arguments WWE Fans Will Probably Never Stop Debating

9. What Killed The Attitude Era?

Oh boy don't we love our Attitude Era? We loved every part of it, from the top down. The superstars were more entertaining, the storylines more dramatic, the matches more exciting, the gimmicks more over-the-top, the boobs more...ample? It was all A+ material, says the IWC.

So then, why did it have to end? If the Attitude Era was truly the pinnacle of sports entertainment, what sent it packing?

Was it the end of the Monday Night Wars and subsequent influx of WCW talent? Was it a sudden cultural shift toward political correctness? Was it WWE going public as a company and being forced to answer to shareholders? A shift from hijinks to actual wrestling?

Or hey, maybe it was the loss of talent. Was it The Rock heading to Hollywood? Stone Cold turning heel? Triple H suffering his first quad injury?

It's tough to pinpoint just one of these factors as being the death knell for the uber-popular Attitude Era, and it is likely a combination of at least a few of them.

But good luck getting anyone to agree on which of those factors - and how many - really made it happen.
