10 Awesome Moments From WWE NXT TakeOver: London
Samoa Joe looked like he'd turned the clock back to 2005 in London...
Triple H must be proud of what happened at NXT TakeOver: London. All in all, the fans in attendance witnessed 8 matches, 5 of which were aired live as part of the presentation on the WWE Network. Nowadays, expecting 5 pro wrestling matches to fill out a 2-hour plus card is not something most fans would expect from World Wrestling Entertainment. It didn't prove to be a problem, no bout was handed less than 10 minutes of time to impress. In fact, 3 of the matches went close to 15 minutes, and the main event lasted longer than 20. The shortest affair by far was Baron Corbin vs. Apollo Crews, which lasted around 11 minutes or so. The live crowd were enthused by everything they witnessed, and the show had excellent pacing overall. That's a good sign for WWE that they are moving in the right direction with NXT. Compared to some of the lifeless shows which can take place featuring the main roster, this was positively electric. It's a real testament to how good a show NXT TakeOver: London was that 10 'awesome' moments can be gleaned from the event. Even better, there could possibly have been more. As the following 10 points highlight, the UK-based show is one of the best WWE have promoted in quite some time. It's a real must-see for anybody who enjoys professional wrestling.
