10 Awesome Real Wrestler Names That Are Better Than Their Ring Names

Former crooked referee, RAW General Manager and all-round handsome man Brad Maddox has had some fine ring names in his career.

Before arriving in WWE he was known as Beef Wellington (after the former Stampede Wrestling standout), and is currently taking bookings outside the company as Mad Braddox. He also went by Lord Ruffles for a short time, and if these names don't make you love the man then I don't know what will.

Even so, he is known to most of the world as Brad Maddox, yet another poorly created random name generator move by WWE. Maddox's real name is actually Tyler Kluttz Warner. Yes, 'Kluttz'. Tyler 'Kluttz' Warner sounds like a weird hybrid of mid 90s WWF and ultra-realism 2016 WWE, an MMA-style wrestler who accidentally drops things at ringside.

It's not quite BEEF WELLINGTON, but it is a whole lot better than Brad Maddox.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
