We may have grown somewhat accustomed to it now, but when Jon Moxley signed with World Wrestling Entertainment and was rechristened 'Dean Ambrose', a number of eyes subsequently entered roll-mode. 'Jon Moxley' was a perfect fit for the deranged character, where as 'Dean Ambrose' could very well have been floor salesman at the Carphone Warehouse in Colchester.

In fact, Dean Ambrose sounds more like a real name than the Lunatic Fringe's given name. Ambrose was born Jonathan Good, and there is something jarring about an individual having an adjective as a last name, especially an adjective as bland and uninspired as 'good'.

It might not have led to the prominence that Ambrose enjoys now, but it is conceivable that Jonathan Good could have been the third member of the legendary 1990s tag team Well Dunn. Heck, you could have had a whole stable of the guys. Jon Good, Colin Job, Timothy Well, Steven Dunn.

Good Job, Well Dunn.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
