10 Awesome Things Happening In WWE Right Now

3. Neville Really Is The King

Again, the premise of the article is something of a stretch, and thus it's best to get the negativity out of the way. Neville is the most compelling character on WWE TV right now and is tragically wasted on 205 Live.

His matches are the best interface between the ultra-athletic modern style and WWE's trademark story-driven approach. Neville is essentially the only wrestler on the planet who excels precisely because he doesn't feel the need to get all of his sh*t in. Only select opponents are worthy of receiving his Red Arrow finisher, incidentally the most protected in WWE. He uses it only when the occasion demands, thereby protecting it and giving the few fans who watch 205 Live a reason to tune back in next week. It's a damn shame; when somebody does kick out of it, while Neville is marooned in the island, it won't generate anywhere the pop his restraint deserves.

Neville's promo game has also improved immeasurably. He was never a natural speaker, but has worked hard to flesh out all aspects of his character - including his body language and facials. He looks legitimately scary when he cinches in the Rings of Saturn.

Even his Twitter game is perfect - all capitalised self-aggrandisement and cheap heat jabs at whichever town he graces with his royal presence.
