10 Awesome Wrestling Moves WWE Must Bring Back In 2016

4. Punt

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFcUWLO0aBA I completely understand why this has rarely been seen in the last couple of years. WWE's major audience these days is a little younger than it was fifteen years ago, and as such there is a greater responsibility to make sure things aren't replicated by kids. The complexities of some moves means the chances of a kid performing them in the schoolyard are pretty low. The Punt, however, made famous by Randy Orton, is the simplest of all moves. It is simply a running kick to the head. No fancy set up, no technical prowess required, just a foot, a skull, a run up and some very bad intentions. If a kid kicks another in the head in the playground, it is going to cause a lot more damage than a kid trying to perform a Moss-Covered Three-Handled Family Gradunza. Orton's character loses something without it though. If he is supposed to be this loose cannon, the punt needs to be busted out now and then to ram home the fact that he could do anything at any time. It also acts as a useful tool for those in need of time off. When Orton returns in 2016, it would be nice to see the punt return (just remember, kids: do not try this at home).

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
