10 Awesome Wrestling Moves WWE Must Bring Back In 2016

5. Brainbuster

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=368d4bT2XMA It puzzles me a little why we don't see this move often. In theory it is clear, for it is a combination of a suplex and a DDT that should land the victim directly onto his noggin', but it is another move that was watered down slightly for the most mainstream of wrestling promotions, moving closer to the suplex than the DDT. It is not alone in being watered down, either - just take a look at any early video of Triple H performing the Pedigree. The move is a million miles from what we see today. Sami Zayn's luchadore cousin El Generico was famous for using the brainbuster onto the turnbuckles on the independents, and similar to the Steenalizer I'd be surprised to see that version in WWE. The more standard in-ring variant? It must return. It's just too good of a move not to.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
