Shane Helms used the vertebreaker in WCW before he came to the WWE and began performing under his Hurricane gimmick. The move, displayed in the video below, is wince-inducing and a justifiable ending to almost any match. Helms used the move on a few occasions in 2003 but, with WWE stars like Rhyno, Edge and Kurt Angle all suffering from serious neck injuries at the time, WWE banned the move to safeguard their talent from any more potential injuries. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzgqtN2r5Hw But the move can be done safely and, if saved for big match occasions, could be a welcomed addition to the arsenal of any WWE superstar. It would definitely receive a big reaction from the crowd in something like a WrestleMania setting. Question is, would WWE allow any of their current crop of wrestlers perform the move?
