10 Awesome Wrestling Moves WWE Stars Aren't Allowed To Do

3. Piledriver

Whilst the kneeling "Tombstone" variation practiced by the likes of Undertaker and Kane - which allows day-light between the recipient's head and the ring canvas (unless they have particularly long hair) - is relatively safe, the sit-down piledriver can be potentially career- or even life- threatening.

Case in point: a botched effort by Owen Hart (eventually) brought a premature end to the in-ring excursions of Stone Cold Steve Austin, one of company's biggest ever stars, so you can understand why they've taken the sensible precaution of banning its use.

At the time of writing, the last time we saw the piledriver performed in a WWE ring came in 2013, when CM Punk hit one on John Cena during their Monday Night Raw show-stealer - but that was probably just a case of two veterans calling it on the fly.
