10 Awesome Wrestling Moves WWE Wrestlers Are Secretly Sitting On

4. Samoa Joe - Muscle Buster

Depending on whose version of events you believe, Samoa Joe might be less "sitting on" this move, and a little more "not allowed to use it". It's not been seen in WWE since NXT TakeOver: New York II in 2016, and the reason for that is believed to be connected to the career-ending injury Tyson Kidd suffered while taking it the year prior.

It was a freak accident, and one that Kidd bears Joe no ill-feeling over, but the fact remains that after taking the move the suffered a spinal injury that normally leaves its recipients quadriplegic, if it doesn't just kill them outright. Joe had used to for over a decade without incident, but when it comes to performer safety, once is sometimes all it takes.

However, it was nearly a year after this incident that he retired it in favour of the Coquina Clutch, and Joe has insisted in interviews that the move isn't on any sort of banned list. He claims that it's available to him any time he wants to use it, he just... doesn't.
