10 Awesome Wrestling Moves WWE Wrestlers Are Secretly Sitting On
2. Sheamus - Celtic Cross
It's difficult to recall the last time Sheamus used the Celtic Cross but, then again, it's difficult to really remember anything Sheamus has done lately. Riddled with serious injury after serious injury, it routinely feels like we've seen the last of him in a WWE ring, but the man somehow battles back every single time.
And, when he does, its usually to reintroduce himself to us all with a wince-inducing Brogue Kick, his staple finisher for the entire latter half of his career. It's impactful, it's believably damaging and, like most great finishers, it can be delivered Outtanowhereâ„¢. But, it wasn't his original means for dispatching opponents.
That honour goes to the Celtic Cross, or Literally Just The Razor's Edge as its mother calls it. A running Crucifix Powerbomb that, with WWE's modern style of expressive camera work, depth of field, and wobbly zoom fetish, usually looked like something from an old Godzilla movie.
Contrast that to White Noise, which instead invokes the image of a put-upon father-of-three attempting to get the entire big shop out of the car by himself, before tripping on the cat.
