10 Awesome Wrestling Things To Be Thankful For Right Now
7. There's More High Quality Wrestling Content Now Than Ever Before
Stepping aside from the specifics and getting into more general things to be thankful for, wrestling fans are spoiled in today's age when it comes to the sheer abundance of content available at our finger tips.
Not only is it quantity, but quality. WWE and AEW produce over a dozen hours of in-ring action per week without even counting pay-per-views. If you missed a show, highlights are uploaded to YouTube soon after, and clips can be found on X mere minutes after they happen live.
Not every match or promo is the best thing to ever happen to the industry, but if you could transport this footage back in time, fans of 20+ years ago would be astounded at the bounty of great matches we take for granted. If you put the average match from Dynamite or Raw on the WrestleMania III card, suddenly, Macho Man Randy Savage versus Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat is no longer a standout classic.
The Attitude Era has its positives, but four hours a week with maybe one or two decent matches pales in comparison to how in this day and age, every show has something worth checking out. A week now is the equivalent of a month, if not a year, from the past.
