10 Awesome WWE & AEW Wrestlers We Can't Wait To See Live Again
9. Alexa Bliss/The Fiend
Alexa Bliss and Bray Wyatt are skilled entertainers and two of the most divisive wrestlers in WWE. This entry more concerns ‘The Fiend’ entity in its current incarnation. The long-term storyline won over fans, and was a money-spinning merch shifter, though it has lost its way.
The moment the supernatural plot jumped an entire tank of sharks was during Wyatt vs. Randy Orton at WrestleMania 37. The night two opener was a borderline squash match with added theatrics. It was hard not to compare it to the innovative Firefly Fun House match at the previous ‘Mania.
Wyatt has been absent since the loss, leaving the ‘Fiend’ mantle resting on Bliss. While she is doing her best with the gimmick, the lore that underpins it seems to be spinning out of control in a fashion last seen during Lost’s six seasons.
The simple truth is we need to see how this new chapter of the Firefly Fun House holds up in front of a full capacity arena. It needs to be put out there to sink or swim. Should the former happen, hopefully this will inspire changes to get the once popular plot back on track.
