I will never forget watching Raw one night in January 2011, the episode where Mason Ryan debuted as a member of The Nexus, and my brother asking me, "Wait, Batista's back?" That was pretty much what everyone was thinking when they first saw this mammoth of a man. His physique was absolutely insane, but his in-ring skills left a lot to be desired. That worked when he was heavily limited during his time in The Nexus, but when he branched off into singles competition in late 2011, he was doomed to fail. Not even Dolph Ziggler or Jack Swagger could get a decent match out of him. Fans weren't sure what his gimmick was supposed to be as a babyface, but he did have a catchy entrance theme. The song he used on TV sounded fairly generic, but the lyrical version of "Here And Now Or Never" by The Heroes Lie is fantastic, almost fitting of a top-tier talent. Ryan was anything but. He made a handful of appearances on TV with his awesome theme before disappearing all together. He departed the company in the spring of 2014.
