10 Awesome WWE Entrance Themes That Went To Waste

5. The Nexus

I will say straight up that there wasn't much to like about WWE in 2010. Batista's heel run was entertaining and The Miz's rise to super stardom was fun to watch, but otherwise it was a rather bland year for WWE. With the exception of The Nexus, of course. The NXT Season 1 alumni exploded on the scene in June 2010 and took no prisoners in their Raw rampage, annihilating everyone in sight. In one night, they became the biggest heels in the entire organization. They needed a song to match their growing popularity, and "We Are One" by 12 Stones fit the group and their motives extraordinarily well. Technically, the stellar song was put to good use when The Nexus was at its peak, but it was indeed wasted post-SummerSlam. That was the night they came up short against John Cena and lost most of their momentum in the process. They were never the same from that point forward, and as a result, "We Are One" was solely associated with failure when it should have been as iconic as The Shield's theme eventually was.
