What happened in the aftermath of Survivor Series 2014 was the final straw for many long-suffering Dolph Ziggler fans, as what should've been one of the biggest moments of 'The Show-Off's' career turned to farce.

Ziggler had long been considered one of WWE's most misused stars. He'd had moments in the sun, but never a consistent run as an undisputed top guy. Embroiled in a feud with the loathed Authority stable in late 2014 (during which the group had cost him his Intercontinental Championship), Dolph lined up alongside Erick Rowan, Big Show, John Cena, and Ryback to face the evildoers.

Sting's WWE debut was the night's biggest talking point, but Ziggler scored a huge victory as the sole survivor. This was his reincarnation. He'd ended The Authority's reign of error and resurfaced as a major player all in the same night, and finally, he was heading back to the top.

Except he wasn't.

The Authority were back together by December 29th, thus rendering Dolph's big night pointless. 'The Show-Off' returned the the midcard, and embarked on the same directionless path he still treads today, his career once again undone by a careless booking team.
