When Superstars put on an instant classic in the ring that enthrals fans and ends up being a big draw for the company, there’s obviously a desire by WWE to book the same match again somewhere down the line. There’s the built-in hype and promotion after all of fans clamouring to see these wrestlers go at it again and replicate the same magic they did the first time around.

Who can forget John Cena vs. The Rock at WrestleMania XXVIII drew so many PPV buys that WWE put on the exact same match one year later, despite the showdown at XXVIII having the tagline "Once in a Lifetime". Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania 25 was so widely acclaimed WWE it booked again for the following WrestleMania XXVI and promoted it to the main event. Edge and Christian, The Dudley Boyz and The Hardy Boyz somehow lived up to and exceeded the gigantic expectations put on them when the company lined up TLC 2 at WrestleMania X-Seven.

Sequels in WWE for sure can earn their worth, further developing heated rivalries and stories. But these 10 match sequels, regardless of how thrilling they were on the night, are often forgotten and ignored due to the original match capturing fans imaginations so immensely.
