10 Awful WCW Gimmicks That Immediately Died
8. The Zodiac
Brutus Beefcake wasn't the best wrestler in the world, but having played a pretty significant part in some of the Golden Age WrestleManias, he was considered something of a coup for WCW when they managed to lure him south to link up with buddy Hulk Hogan in 1994.
What followed, however, was a series of ill-conceived gimmicks, none of which lasted more than a couple of months. The second-worst of them, for our money, was The Zodiac.
For this character, Beefcake essentially just painted his face black and white (but not in a cool Sting way) and started shouting "Yes! No!" over and over again when he arrived in the ring, making everyone feel a bit awkward and uncomfortable.
Wrestlers who derive their names from serial killers are always going to struggle to catch on, though, so it was to nobody's great surprise that it lasted a few weeks before Hogan's buddy went in a whole new direction (although not for the better).
