10 Awful Wrestlers Pushed As WWE Main Eventers

7. Mason Ryan

Mason Ryan AKA Barri Griffiths is a Welsh former star of the British version of television game show Gladiators. He turned to pro-wrestling in 2006. Having worked his way through the development territories, he appeared on mainstream WWE television as part of the New Nexus in 2011 as the team€™s new enforcer. In 2011, he debuted when he interfered in a match between WWE's two biggest stars - John Cena and CM Punk - on Raw, taking out both men before joining Punk's New Nexus. He went on to feud with upper-carders like Big Show, Kane and Randy Orton, being presented as credible threats to each of them, in spite of a distinct lack of in-ring talent. After subsequently lingering around the mid-card for a while, Mason Ryan was released from the WWE in April of 2014.
