Mason Ryan AKA Barri Griffiths is a Welsh former star of the British version of television game show Gladiators. He turned to pro-wrestling in 2006. Having worked his way through the development territories, he appeared on mainstream WWE television as part of the New Nexus in 2011 as the teams new enforcer. In 2011, he debuted when he interfered in a match between WWE's two biggest stars - John Cena and CM Punk - on Raw, taking out both men before joining Punk's New Nexus. He went on to feud with upper-carders like Big Show, Kane and Randy Orton, being presented as credible threats to each of them, in spite of a distinct lack of in-ring talent. After subsequently lingering around the mid-card for a while, Mason Ryan was released from the WWE in April of 2014.
