It's not uncommon for wrestling promotions to try a few takes at nailing a backstage angle, interview, or segment.

Unfortunately for long-time backstage interviewer and host Kayla Braxton, though, someone clearly didn't let the WWE personality know that one specific backstage moment of chaos wasn't going to come with a second attempt.

Jumping back to July 20, 2019's edition of SmackDown, Braxton was preparing to chat with Roman Reigns about who his SummerSlam opponent would be when 'The Big Dog' was almost crushed by scaffolding and boxes.

This began an odd storyline involving Reigns being targeted in a number of mysterious attacks in the weeks that followed.

But it's also a segment Braxton would prefer you forget ever happened.

As she told NotSam Wrestling in 2021, the WWE figure actually only let out what she classed as a "practise scream" during this first take. Little did the horror film fan know that this poor attempt at a screech would soon be immortalised on YouTube.

Sure, it was still certainly cool to take part in a shocking backstage stunt like this and the majority of folks were too busy watching Roman almost be turned into a 'Tribal Pancake' to notice the warm-up scream. But poor Braxton still can't shake the feeling that she could have done so much better, claiming the botched shriek is one of her "most embarrassing WWE moments" and that she'll practise her cries of terror next time around.
