Despite AEW presenting Bryan Danielson's most recent frustrating injury as something that was inflicted on him during his tag bout against the fearsome Kazuchika Okada and Orange Cassidy on October 25's Dynamite, that broken orbital bone actually secretly occurred on the prior week's Collision.

And while it would have been fair to assume that this sort of head injury could have been caused by something like Andrade El Idolo's awesome trademark spinning back elbow during the pair's hard-hitting bout, it actually reportedly went down during one of the seemingly safer moments in the war.

According to Danielson himself, as reported by Fightful Select, the injury was oddly sustained when the opponents were engaged in a standard collar-and-elbow tie.

Just like that, one largely overlooked stray elbow to the face ultimately forced Danielson onto the shelf for potentially the rest of 2023.

But the legend, who was actually sporting a just about noticeable black eye from the Andrade clash, was still able to work through a thrilling main event tag bout without fans even realising he'd been partially broken by a botched lock up a few days earlier.
