10 B-Team WWE Tag Team Champions
1. The New Age Outlaws (2014)
Road Dogg and Billy Gunn were tag division cornerstones during the most revered period in WWE history, but their sixth and final run as Tag Team Champions was straight-up embarrassing for all involved.
Having worked their first televised WWE match in 13 years the March prior, the New Age Outlaws re-emerged in January 2014, briefly aligning themselves with CM Punk in his ongoing war with The Shield. They'd then turn heel and reset their targets, taking aim at reigning champions Cody Rhodes and Goldust. A non-title victory set up what looking like a relatively routine defence for the brothers Runnels at the Royal Rumble, but alas, Road Dogg and Gunn were triumphant, with the 14 years between this win and their last a new company record.
Badly exposed between the ropes, the ageing Outlaws stuck out like a sore thumb in this new, hyper-athletic era. Their well of nostalgia quickly ran dry, and 36 days of a once charismatic duo fumbling their way through their worst reign followed, before The Usos thankfully, mercifully, brought the charade to a close by defeating them on a March episode of Raw.
