Seth Rollins had the greatest WrestleMania moment of his career when he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract during the main event WWE Championship match between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31 and walked out as the new champion. Michael Cole articulately described the moment as "The Heist of the Century," as Rollins did the unthinkable by outsmarting the two powerhouses to claim his first world championship in WWE.

While talking to Edge and Christian on the E&C's Pods of Awesomeness, Rollins revealed that he was the one who pitched the idea to have the cash-in take place during the WrestleMania 31 main event. Rollins revealed that he pitched the idea to Triple H at the end of 2014 and asked him to keep it as a contingency plan if the WrestleMania main event didn't come together how the company had envisioned.

The WWE creative team decided to go with the idea a few days before WrestleMania 31 but didn't let Rollins, Lesnar, and Reigns know until the day of the event. Rollins put over Randy Orton earlier in the event before getting the news that he was going to win the WWE Championship in the main event.
