4. Mordecai
WWE.comThis is yet another gimmick that should be tailor-made to get heel heat and be successful in the world of professional wrestling, as fans don't like being preached to, no matter what the message happens to be. Your country is better than ours? Your way of living makes you better than us? Your workout regimen makes you look better than us? Nope. We don't like you now. It's simple, and it's a tried-and-true method that dates back decades. Mordecai was a religious zealot who came to WWE to cleanse the company, and the roster, of its sins. With his unique look, and with his barbed wire-covered cross, he was a sight to behold from the moment wrestling fans laid eyes on him. Then... he got in the ring to wrestle, and everything fell apart. He was awkward, and almost seemed uncoordinated at times. His transitions from move-to-move seemed stiff, almost as if he were going over everything in his head before he actually did it, like an actor rehearsing his lines in the mirror before he goes out and films a scene. The gimmick didn't even last two whole months before the entire thing was canned. Kevin Fertig, the man behind the gimmick, would eventually get another chance at WWE success as Kevin Thorn in ECW, but that didn't really work out, either. While we're discussing vampires and vampire gimmicks, though...
