10 Bad Taste WWE Angles You Need To Know About

9. Katie Vick

HHH rightfully came into a lot of criticism for his backstage politics and general performances from his comeback in 2002 from a serious quadriceps tear to his renaissance in 2004. For those years HHH was accused of attempting to hold back the careers of several exciting wrestlers such as Chris Jericho, Booker T and Rob Van Dam in an effort to stay on top of the card. HHH nearly had his own career sabotaged in 2002 when his feud with Kane took an unfortunate turn. Instead of a tried and tested feud based on competition and the pursuit of a championship belt, WWE€™s production ace Kevin Dunn thought that they should instead implement an element of soap opera to increase audience interest. So HHH came to the ring following Kane€™s triumph in the stunning Raw Roulette TLC Tag Team Championship match and accused Kane of murdering a girl named Katie Vick. The next week Kane came down to the ring and explained that he had accidentally murdered the girl in high school after they€™d both been to a party and had a bit too much to drink with Kane losing control of the wheel of the car he was driving. Not only did this add an unwanted element to the feud but it also disrupted the continuity of the Kane character€™s history. Things would continue to get worse. Much worse. On the next episode of Raw a video aired showing €˜Kane€™ (HHH in a Kane mask) attending the €˜funeral€™ of Katie Vick. This would be bad enough but then HHH then climbed into the casket and began having sex with the mannequin. Necrophilia had made its way onto WWE programming. The angle was in such poor taste that Sky Sports refused to show it in the UK and the Kane/HHH feud never recovered. WWE has joked about the angle since but they weren€™t laughing at the time. The angle was a total disaster.
