10 Bad WWE Pay-Per-Views One Tweak Away From Excellence

1. Greatest Royal Rumble

Why it's bad: Saudi Arabia Saudi Arabia Saudi Arabia Saudi Arabia Saudi Arabia Saudi Arabia. This was the genesis of a 10-year deal between WWE and a country with one of the most reprehensible human rights records in global history. Money - and absolutely loads of it - ensured that the company were willing to check their morals at the door for the good of the dollar. Never a great look, not least when it was so nakedly apparent.

One Tweak: Host it anywhere else like a regular show that's just insane for some reason.

On balance, Greatest Royal Rumble is an absurdly fun show stacked to the gills with loads of reasons to watch, and not just because of a 50-man Royal Rumble taking place in April. WWE rather sloppily talked this up as an event of WrestleMania-sized proportions because it was. Imagine the likes of the Triple H/John Cena tribute to Hulk Hogan/Ultimate Warrior or Roman Reigns Vs Brock Lesnar in a cage if anybody had an ounce of good will about the event itself.

If only this Sports Entertainment was about Sports or Entertainment instead of politics and greed, the event would have been one for the ages.
