10 Baffling WWE Creative Ideas Fans Still Can't Work Out

2. McMahon The Younger

One of the biggest on-screen associations any wrestler could have would be with Vince McMahon. Fans take most things seriously which the WWE owner is involved in, so it's only natural that they'd then view a performer as important if they were linked with him. In 2007, an angle started up which revolved around the idea that someone on the roster was McMahon's son, a bastard love child born out of an extra-marital affair. Immediately, fans were interested, and it was generally accepted that it'd be Mr. Kennedy, who would then get a main event push to go along with his new family ties. That is rumoured to have been the original plan, until Kennedy got himself suspended for repeat violations of WWE's Wellness Policy. The story had to be changed somewhat, but surely the writing staff could have come up with something better than Hornswoggle, who was later installed as McMahon's son. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_l7lB5G8HVo Worse yet, just a few months later the whole thing was revealed to be a ruse, and Hornswoggle was actually Finlay's son. Huh? As far as a Plan B goes, that's a pretty rotten one.
