10 Bands Synonomous With WWE
4. Kid Rock
To many fans, Kid Rock will be remembered for the overly long melody performed live at WrestleMania XXV. The performance was a long, drawn out mess that took time away from matches that sorely needed it, souring many people's view on Rock.
As well as providing So Hott for 'Mania, Kid Rock has supplied WWE with several songs over a period of nearly twenty years. When Undertaker returned at Judgment Day 2000 with his new biker gimmick, he rode down the aisle to Kid's American Badass. Although the theme wasn't used for long, it is still linked to the return of one of the biggest names in the business during one of the greatest Iron Man matches in the company's history.
Kid Rock then recorded a cover of ZZ Top's Legs to be used for Stacy Keibler and had his song Cocky used for the Royal Rumble in 2002. A full six years later, WWE implemented the successful song All Summer Long as the perplexing theme tune to Backlash 2008, laying the groundwork for Rock to perform at the next WrestleMania. Rumours persist that WWE and Vince McMahon specifically wanted AC/DC to perform at WrestleMania XXV but touring conflicts meant that fans got Kid Rock instead. Rock got another WrestleMania moment when his song Celebrate was used for the thirtieth anniversary of the event.
For spanning The Invasion Angle, Ruthless Aggression, Reality, and PG eras, Kid Rock might deserve a little more credit than he gets.
