10 Bands Synonomous With WWE
3. Saliva
If you were a fan of WWE between 2000 and 2005, chances are you're more familiar with the music of Saliva than most other people. After an eponymous debut album, the band released Every Six Seconds in 2001. The album brought the band mainstream success due mostly to the single Click Click Boom. The song received significant radio air play and became the theme song for WWE's No Mercy event in 2001.
The relationship between Saliva and WWE would continue to be fruitful for both as the band provided one of the themes for WrestleMania X-8 with Superstar. Later that same year, Saliva had another successful song on their hands with Always and WWE pounced again making it the theme song for Survivor Series. During the same event, the band also performed a rendition of Chris Jericho's Break the Walls Down theme live via satellite before the inaugural Elimination Chamber.
Unforgiven 2004, WrestleMania 23, No Way Out 2009, and Extreme Rules 2010 all utilized songs from the band and for a short time in 2008 Don't Question my Heart featuring Brent Smith of Shinedown was used as the theme song for the weekly ECW show.
WWE fans will recognise the band's sound and trademark look more than most mainstream fans who probably only have hazy pictures of singer Josey Scott singing on a rooftop with Chad Kroeger.
Some may scoff at a few of the band's admittedly outdated songs, but they are a part of WWE history and act as a musical time capsule encompassing all the great matches and moments from the events for which they acted as musical accompaniment.
