8. Chris Jericho Vs. Cody - Full Gear
It's taken me a while to write this entry because I can't take my eyes off the gif of Cody faceplanting the ramp IN A WORLD TITLE MATCH, a spot which caused his face to end up looking like this:
Cody versus Jericho had incredibly high expectations after a brilliant build and yet somehow managed to exceed them courtesy of an old school saga worthy of the Rhodes family; Cody playing the purest of babyfaces with a gutsy performance against the dastardly Y2J who used every trick in the book.
The heartbreaking conclusion featuring Le Champion stomping on a bloodied American Nightmare as he tortured him with a brutal-looking Liontamer, coupled with MJF's agonising quandary over throwing in the towel and subsequent heel turn will live long in the memory. Bastard.
