10 Best Babyface WWE Champions Of The Last Decade
5. Seth Rollins (Intercontinental Champion)
Seth Rollins is a perfect example of how tough it can be to predict a face champion's chances of getting over. Almost all of the fans rejected his Universal title reign, as his booking was filled with hockey finishes, and he felt like a typical, script-reading corporate champion. However, you can't blame WWE for trying, as he'd already proven himself to be a phenomenal babyface champ, thanks to his Intercontinental title run.
WrestleMania 34 was a somewhat mixed bag, but one easy highlight was the triple-threat match between The Miz, Finn Balor and Seth Rollins. The bout was an outstanding display of technical wrestling and ended with a well-earned/triumphant victory from the former member of The Shield.
His explosive win was only the beginning, as he carried the Intercontinental title with pride for a combined 190 days (divided by a 61-day reign from Dolph Ziggler). During that period, he set up an open challenge, won the Tag Team Titles alongside Dean Ambrose, and even ended up feuded with that very wrestler.
Rollins brought a much-needed sense of prestige to the title. He was a main event talent making the mid-card belt feel important again, which is what made his time with it so powerful.
