A third-generation superstar, David Finlay chose to join the New Japan Dojo and has worked his way through the system to become one of the most beloved members of the roster.

Graduating from the dojo with classmates Jay White and tag team partner Juice Robinson, Finlay had a less than easy job climbing his way up the ranks. However, this has just made the fans love him even more. He is the enthusiastic Taguchi Japan underdog with a heart of gold and an amazing hybrid wrestling style.

After returning from injury last October, it felt like a turning point and fans got to witness the spectacular comeback they had been waiting for with a new and improved Finlay. Although he lost his first title opportunity, a win in the 2019 World Tag League with Juice Robinson which led to an IWGP Tag titles victory at Wrestle Kingdom seemed to be the perfect fairy tale ending for the Celtic Prince.
