When Kane was given a World Tag Team Championship opportunity in late-2002, he had to find himself a tag team partner. He shocked the WWE Universe with his random choice – The Hurricane. The two won the titles in their first match and held onto them for nearly a month, defending against the likes of Christian, Lance Storm and Chris Jericho.

The odd couple were beloved by fans, and always managed to overcome any odds that were stacked against them. So, without sounding too cliché here, 'Hurri-Kane' were genuine superheroes in the ring. Kane was never more popular than he was at this time, and the fans’ love for him – not to mention the high-quality of his matches – saw him involved in the main-event storyline. This elevated The Hurricane’s importance on Raw, as he too was involved in Kane’s storyline to back up his partner in crime-fighting.

Compared to Kane’s other odd pairings, this one was rather brief, but it was every bit as effective. This Kane wasn’t as monstrous, so there was no monster-to-man arc played out, but in its place was some comedy gold as Hurricane tried to mould Kane in his heroic image. They were hilarious, goofy and perhaps even ridiculous at times, but we weren’t laughing at them – we were laughing with them.
