Not long after his successful tag team run with Chris Jericho came to an end, Big Show returned to the division when he formed an alliance with United States Champion The Miz. Upon interfering in Miz’s title match to help him retain, Show was paired with 'The A-Lister' in tag team action, kick-starting what would be the start of another surprisingly beautiful bond for the giant. The pair would go on to win the Unified Tag Team Championships from DX and hold onto them for over two months.

After Show suffered through a few years of dull programmes, this resurgence in the tag team division was a genuinely entertaining run for the veteran, and it was intriguing to see how he gelled with both Jericho, and then The Miz. He wasn't the only one who benefited from the union, as Miz was about to embark on a main event push and having Show in his corner, while holding three championships certainly prepared him well for the stardom.

Unlikely on paper, but effective in person, ShoMiz was another unexpected stroke of genius.
