It’s probably a bit too soon to rank this match higher on this list, but damn, whoever thought we would get something like this from Braun Strowman? A year ago, the big man was rumored for a match against The Undertaker at WrestleMania. Fans nearly rioted over the prospect of it. Now, quite a few of them would actually look for to seeing that. Wrestling is incredibly unpredictable at times.

The two massive athletes had fought in Aug. of 2016 on Raw, and no one cared. Their second showdown received “This is awesome!” chants. A lot of credit goes to Vince for splitting Strowman up from The Wyatt Family, and for giving him a convincing singles run while protecting him nearly every step up the way. Of course, though, if Strowman was going to be the true giant in the company he had to beat the old one.

While WWE always limited Show vs. Great Khali matches to only a couple minutes long after Khali’s star had fallen, they gave Strowman plenty of time to shine in his main event spot. It was a bit clunky at times, but that’s to be expected. If anything, it made the match feel a bit more realistic. The important thing is that Show made the younger wrestler look dominant, and put him over in a way that the prior generation often hasn’t done for their successors. Strowman also shined in the bout with his unbelievable kip-up and impressive feats of strengths. To top it off, they didn’t even let Roman show him up in the post-match beat down!

Now who’s up for a rematch?

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
