10 Best Booked Wrestlers In WWE Today

3. Kofi Kingston

Spare a thought for poor Mustafa Ali, who'd almost certainly be in Kofi Kingston's spot had he not been struck down by injury prior to Elimination Chamber 2019.

It's thought that The New Day man is currently shining in a spotlight meant for the former 205 Live star. That sucks for Ali, who'll return to an uncertain SmackDown landscape after establishing himself as the blue brand's brightest up-and-comer, though Kingston has benefitted greatly from his absence.

Much of Kofi's rise is down to how hard the 11-year WWE veteran has worked since rejoining the singles ranks, but WWE's booking has been sublime. He looked godlike in the SmackDown gauntlet match. Then, at Elimination Chamber, he fell agonizingly short, but set the wrestling world ablaze with that 12-minute closing sequence against Daniel Bryan. WWE even did the right thing by pulling him out of the World Title match at Fastlane - a move that built sympathy and preserved Kofi's big moment for WrestleMania 35.

Whether or not Kingston should become WWE Champion is up for debate, but his past few weeks have been incredible. Kudos to the writers for capitalising on his surge.
