10 Best Career Making Pieces Of Advice In WWE History

10. Jimmy Hart Told To Dress Like Nobody Else In The Building

Coming from a music background, Jimmy Hart was always quite the flamboyant type anyway. Entering the pro wrestling business in the 1970's, the manager quickly established himself as a colourful talker who could raise the ire of the fans, something which led to him signing with the then-WWF in 1985. It was there that Vince McMahon instructed Hart to start carrying around a megaphone, shouting instructions from ringside and annoying ringsiders, but that wasn't the most crucial piece of advice Jimmy would receive. Before crash-landing in the bright, garish world of the WWF, Hart was given some advice by legendary broadcaster Dick Clark, words which would live with him for the rest of his career. Clark told Hart that if he ever hoped to make it in the wrestling industry, he should dress differently from how the fans do, otherwise he might find himself sitting in amongst them someday. Taking the advice to heart (no pun intended), the manager started presenting himself in an array of flashy suits and jackets, often emblazoned with airbrushed caricatures of the wrestlers he was managing. This became a Jimmy Hart hallmark, and really helped the diminutive heater stand out.
