10 Best Current WWE Theme Songs
9. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson (Omen In The Sky)
Try to listen to that chorus hook without nodding your head or singing along. Go on, try it.
"We are the omen in the sky. More than what you bargained for, blacking out the sun to steal the light", croons the lead singer. It's all very dramatic and menacing, and it somehow manages to avoid losing a poppy vibe that totally rules.
The opening riff greets Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson's arrival with the foreboding sense that something bad is about to happen. That's bad-ass, helps sell their threat (more so than WWE's creative team, it has to be said) and the lyrics then turn their theme into more than the generic rock churn mid-card tag acts are so often handed.
Also, the singer's wail has a touch of Jerry Cantrell from Alice In Chains, and the chugging riffs sit snugly behind a thick bass drum that punches you right in the gut. If only WWE's own presentation of Gallows and Anderson matched their entrance tune.
